Freestyle I know it's no big deal

I can do nose stabs, tail stands, and pretty much toss my ski around any which way, no flips, but I just did my first submarine! And it was totally wicked! Kind of unexpected even knowing I was trying to do one, I wasn't expecting to succeed. I had made several attempts the other day and I wasn't doing something right because the nose seemed to just bounce off the water back up every time I tried. This time I was tired and getting ready to go back in and just made a half ass attempt at it and bam! Sorry to bore everyone but I'm on a high right now!

Subs were about all I could do on my SN 650. I like them too, just watch your speed when doing them, you'll do a front flip/suicide sub!, lol.

Subs can still be hit and miss for me.. Speed is your friend and foe for this. Faster you go more nose pressure to push the ski forwards easier. Faster you go the further your eye lids peel back..

for what ever reason stabs come real easy. If I had more power I'd be trying rolls. I backed off subs just because the whole wall of water in the face, I need to duck my head more I guess.

i personally don't care for subs unless i am wearing my helmet, then they are alright..even ducking down i don't care for the smack of the water to the top of my head..tends to give me a headache after doing a few.

x2 on the speed thing, mine have steadily been getting faster and faster without trying, when the nose plants at speed it goes straight down, i've been thrown over the handle pole a few times, last big sub i did the heavy waterlogged chin pad broke off and smacked me in the face, if i ever get editing ability ill post the video.

now the trick is to suicide sub where the ski turns around under water and to pop out in the direction you came from. ya anytime people ask if I can do tricks they always ask for a dive or subs.. weird

is it standard for your feet to be pulled off underwater on a sub, even with footholds? I ended up doing a superman underwater, but I was still holding on and throttling back up.

The trick is to get your feet back into the tray so the illusion you never came out is present. Just like in tailstands float one leg out to the side for balance. It can be tough to stay in the tray but its def doable.
