thanks, guys and gals!

its alotta work, for sure, but im VERY happy with the final product. i hope the winning ticket holder is too!

btw, this morning i realized that there werent and of zigs or rivas stickers on it. i took care of that. ill take some pics of it in the sun, instead of gas station halogens, and youll see how it pops in the light.

i wouldnt be so quick to claim to be the one that taught me anything about painting. youve seen ski ive painted. anything i paint comes out looking like dog ass.

turfing... yes, ive learned a lot from louie and steve, for sure.

the only thing ive learned about painting from louie and steve is that I shouldnt do it.:biggrin:

its easy to make the template. first put blue painters tape exactly where you want the turf to lay on the top deck. i started with a stock piece of gunwale turf and traced it onto a piece of cardboard and only cut the bottom and front. then, bend the cardboard around the contours and cut the cardboard to match the tape.

i could give you a template, but the turf still needed extra tweakage, even after it was cut from the template... in other words, my template isnt perfect.

that thing looks awesome!!! I don't know what all the fuss is about the nose, its my favorite part of it. people just hate change I guess.
