I love finding out reasons for forum names

Odd Duck

My first jet ski was a Wave Jammer. It looks like a duck sitting on the water so my friends all called it "The Duck". I have another friend that always called me an odd duck (that was the pot callin the kettle) so I used it to always remember that ski. I still have that ski and my genius mechanic hubby has stuffed a 701 in it for me. Now it's waiting for a 701 pump as the next big project in the off season. I can't wait. :cheer: :arms:

somehow i combined my names from playing hockey since i was young.

slick - reference to ice hockey
chaos - reference to me causing trouble.. ie always in the penalty box and decking the opposing team with hits.

Well, I was going to go obvious with something like noskills, clutteredgarage, need2drop20lbs, earlymorninfarter or mrnosho but they were already taken.

So, since my full name is Peter Richard Johnston.....

No, not really. Since my first name really is Peter and I like to use the same screen name on the different forums, I just did something generic with my name. Boring? Hell yeah.

yama - yamaha
slut - there was a time when i had no ski and was bumming rides off people... I wasn't picky

Since I would ride anyones ski and they all were yamahas, I came up w/ "yamaslut"

Snackem

Danger Zone
Location
Colfax WA
When I was in the 7th grade I was a runt (80 lbs.) but I finally started to grow four years later at the end of my sophomore year I weighed 240. During that time I was always eating and snacking. During this time my dad coached a local college baseball team and I'd go with him to the practice and use the batting cage when the team went out to the field. The other coach started calling me "Snacks" but that was taken as a screen name so I used Snackem, now I use it for anything internet related.

I got this thing for older machines. It all started with 3 wheelers, I have 4 non-functionning 3 wheelers in my storage and one that I use weekly.
It has turned to mopeds and last year to my X2.

Wow! This is an old thread. Ima bump it up anyways though, because it's always good to know where people got their usernames! Also quite interesting..
Mine is pretty darn simple.. Back some time in gradeschool our usernames for computers were the first four letters of our last name, and the first three letters of our first name. Was so used to typing in Roseand that I just decided to use it as a username allover because it's so simple and easy to remember. Plus it doesn't look bad :p
Oh and yeah, my first name is Andrew.

550/440 - I fought for years to not fall into the "big boat" class. No SXR, no 750sxi, no SN, no thanks...

Now I own a big ol' tank of a ski, but I still have a few 550's for the kids!

Mine is the first thing that came to mind when I signed up for my first email many years ago. Wanted something cool... always thought Van Halen's "Atomic Punk" was a pretty cool song.

If people dont get the reference they usually ask if I am into punk rock.

"Nobody rules these streets at night like me, the Atomic Punk " haha.

I was really into fishing king fish tournaments and blue water. My friends were sponsored and I was part of the crew.....fishing Got to expensive and time consuming..... One day at the lake I saw an old 550 go by. I was recovering from a hernia surgery jacked up on some pain killers and started thinking about how much fun I had on my old 550 ...... Bought a sj a week later found this site .....

Sportfish..... Boy have I saved time and money by dropping offshore fishing and getting into skis.
