Hey everyone!!
I am new too Xh20 and could use a little bit of help, I have recently purchased a SuperJet and was rebuilding the Carb last night and ran into a little situation. within the pump body assembly lies to check valves that are held in place by two black little grommets. well when I was trying to put the new ones in they did want to go in....like at all, tried everything and ended up breaking one of the new ones. I was just seeing if anyone knows of a good trick to get these in.
They are number 3 and 4 in the diagram... thanks for the help!!!!!!

You can use a small ball end allen wrench to install those, the kind with a screwdriver handle, I have posted a link to a set on Ebay

I lay the diaphragm on the fuel pump body, then dip the rubber pieces in 2 stroke oil and push on the flat side with my thumb till they pop through. Then spin them around untill everything sits right.

Thanks for the tips!! I tried using a regular allen wrench with a flat bottom and got one in, but pushed it right through the second one. a ball end allen wrench might work better I will try that technique next but now I need to obtain another grommet because I broke one of the two new ones that came with my kit.
Does anyone know where I can purchase these individually??

i think i still got em in my kit. i only replaced one cause they are a pain in the arse.if the old ones arent visibly damaged,i would just leave em.i did and my carbs run better than bran new.lemme know if you are serious about purchasing em.im pretty sure i got 3 left for 44 sbn.

Use the "nail like" part of a small, unused poprivet. They're thin enough and have a bulbus head so it doesn't push through the rubber.

x2 exactly how I do it also. except I just layed it on the table. I have pushed through with the allen without getting them in. just as you push really hard with your thumb I spin it at the same time.

Now that I a thinking about it, I tried all these techniques but when I did it it was a pretty cold night maybe 50s so I am sure the rubber wasn't pliable (as it could of been had it been 80 degrees out) and even the aluminum housing could have shrunk just a lil bit. maybe the trick is to warm it up a bit, use some lube, and push it on in there...
