jet trim has the best pre cut pattern, but you have to ask for it. i don't have any good pics of it. but it covers the inside and top of the rails and they also cover the sides under the seat. it is on my race boat.

if you put it on the side rails it will create a great deal of drag.

I agree. On a freestyle SJ I can understand why you would want to take that chance because your feet and hands will be all over the side rails. On a Blaster I just don't see the need for this unless its only for looks. However, turfing on only the top part of the rails makes perfect sense.

Personally I been thinking of sharpening the side rails (knife like) and channeling the rear exit (HS like).

i did that on one of my old blasters, cut out the rear bond rail on each side.

it flow more smoothly thru the turns. it makes the bond rail into one big sponson.

Cause when you are coming down from 20' feet or tearing up the surf and you are trying to get traction you want it to be there no matter where your feet are at or going to be.

if your coming down from 20' or doing a cutback on a wave and you are trying to stand on the side of the rails you are not going to make it anyway:biggrin:

It's not so much a matter of traction for me as it is damage control. It might not be MUCH softer, but a little turf has saved my shins from all sorts of bumps and bruises.
