I ordered turf from TEMU

Yeah , yeah I know what you are going to say , but hey I am a man of the world , I like to take chances and learn things for myself and form my own opinions , I also think outside the box and it's not the first time I have made bad decisions and it won't be the last , we will see what we will see , how else can you know ?

I do fully expect the PSA adhesive on the turf to be absolute crap but truefully all PSA adhesives on turf are absolute crap IMHO, prove me wrong.

$30.83 for a 94.5 x 23.5 inch roll of grey, blue diamond pattern turf .

We have companies who " make all their parts in the usa" have us send product straight to their chinese warehouse where their product is made. I don't have enough fingers to count the companies we know who are doing this and I have all my fingers. We dont lie about where our product is made as it would be embarrassing if you got found out and had to explain it to everyone

I tried to source some from Jettraction years ago but they only speak Portuguese down there and the language barrier was a big problem , they used to sell through WSM and Atlantic Jet Sports , WSM stopped carrying it years ago and Atlantic only has a few 440-550 bottom pads left.

Jettraction had a nice line of life vests and wetsuits that never made it to the US market , I can't even find a website for them anymore but they are on Faceblock and twitter.

Last I heard they were out of business the site is still up but says closed for maintaince, it must need a lot because it's been like that for a few tears now . I haven't tried calling their number.

Which would be why I ordered it so I can see for myself , I have Hydroturf , Blacktip and Jettraction here to compare it to , but it's going to be a minute ,I guess they send it on a really slow boat from , yep you guessed it China.

It's finally here , I had to raise some hell to get it here and they owe me $5.00 for it arriving late, but they did give me 20% off of my next order which I already burned up , it's a little different but I kinda dig it, I am going to ignore that it's PSA and just Dap weldwood it, I am sure like all PSA I have ever used that it's crap , the only thing I will use PSA on is a flip ski.

If I decide not to use it on the 300SX I will use it in on the floor of the Geo Tracker , in the pic it looks like the diamonds are going the wrong way but they are not , it's just the way the pic was taken.

One thing I did notice is where the diamonds are cut out the blue layer under the grey is pretty thin , It looks like that will work to my advantage on the 300SX but it may be a problem on some other skis.

If I get a just little creative with turf placement I can align those grooves at the top edges on the sides of the tray and it will lay in there really nicely, also on the bottom the grooves are in almost the exact place and at the proper angle they need to be at to fit the bottom.

It looks like I will be sanding or grinding off the raised diamondplate portion on the Blacktip turf and using it as an extra layer of padding.

Interesting. What does the texture feel like compared to the hydroturf molded diamond? Hard to tell from pictures bit looks to be similar to the molded diamond which is all I ever use. Price is considerably better than hydroturf which is good if it will hold up.

They want their toys back , these are two of the cleanest 650SX skis I have ever worked on and the trailer is gorgeous but needs some help in the functionality department. It just has a flat carpeted pad which means nothing keeps the skis stable side to side and it's being held on by ratchet...

Pretty good brushed texture to it but those diamonds are really big like 2 inches by 6.5 inches big , I am not sure I would want to try to turf a Superjet with it .

My worry is that it will come apart where the grey is bonded to the blue but that's my worry on Hydroturf aslo , I would think that this would be more susceptible since the diamonds are so big.

Is the diamond the only pattern they have? I used the smooth hydroturf on the tray sides of my superfreak and used the molded diamond on the floor and on the roof of the footholds.

Now that I have a better idea of what size the diamond patterns are I am ordering one of these two patterns to make footwell mats for some flip skis , at least from Amazon you will get it in a few days and you can always return it if you don't like it.

Usually yoga mat, the 300SX already had Hydroturf underpadding that was good so I reused it , I turfed over the top with blacktip diamond plate and I will probably grind the diamonds off and just use it as extra padding , on the Superjet I am using blue camping pad and yoga mat , on that ski I had to make up a bit of space on it to get the turf kit to work right plus I was advised by my Hip surgeon to put extra padding on my skis.

This turf is going on flip skis in the footwells , no underpadding.

Do you by chance have a specific yoga mat you prefer? Or a link to one like it? I’ve tried ordering cheapie/imitation under pad a couple times & im 0 for 2….
