I really seem to like the Kawasaki 750 sx sxi over SJ, Advice?

Sounds to me you should just be yourself and don't let the herd mentality affect your good decision. Not knocking the SJs. I ride the below and love it. I can't see me trading it in for a SJ, it's mint!
By the way, if ya decide to add foothold on the 750. Try Dakine foot straps first; cheap, easy, effective. Plus you can keep the torpedo storage tubes. I use them all the time, for fire extinguisher (of course), water, powerbars and small a can of oil to fill up on the lake (if needed).
