Blaster Ideal B1

I now own a 94 B1 as well as a 96 B1, my plan is to use the 96 engine dual carbs and electronics in the cleaner 94 hull. End result will be a 94 blurple hull with the 96 62t engine and dual carbs as well as the 96 electronics, also adding a umi steering setup and seat cover. Will add Factory pipe and ADA head when i come across them. Looking for opinions before i tear into them as I am fairly new to the Waveblaster world.

I like the color on my 94 and it is in much better shape. The swap will not be an issue, the 94 already has the engine removed so quick swap......... I hope

so the 96 i just bought has markings that say the bottom end is a 64u, j700j. The top end says its a 61x, ouch. Looking to make a solid build regardless of time. I was under the impression that a 96 b1 was supposed to have 62t top end. Any help is much appreciated.

it will say 61x on your cylinder. on the carb side.. and i think it says 62t near the starter imprinted on the case

I plan to put new carbs on the 96 because while i was tearing it down I found that someone broke the topside of both carbs and epoxied them back together. Im not a huge fan of this, I have 6 what i believe to be super bn 38s from mid 90's seadoo's. They appear to be identical to the yamaha waveblaster 38s in the body and i plan to change butterflies and everything over from the yamaha ones. From what I gather, other than jetting and needle and seat, a super bn 38 is the same as anyother. I have some passages to blockoff and modify but I am able to do all of that. I also may b able to get super bn 40s if that is a better option.

junk those carbs.

For Replacements, Stick with 38's or go to 44's with a different manifold. Don't even bother with the 40mm ones.

You want the 62T bottom with 61X cylinder. It gives you the most bottom end power in stock form.

Thanks for the help and i plan to replace them with the original 38s i have on hand. I will blast them and rebuild them first, but the waveblaster is coming along. Now i just need to get an ADA head and factory pipe.
