Positive they are footrocket holds. They aren't cheap. Rdrttoy has them in his '08 sj. It requires lowering the exhaust tube to install them.

I was thinking about cutting them up so they dont take up so much space in the tray. I have small feet ne ways. Then just put the bolt kit in there like the dakine straps and put screws in it. Seems reasonable to me. Idk hmmm

I wouldn't waste your time if you aren't going to install them correctly.
If you want easy get footsteps or some lifter wedges for the side of your tray.

The metal track is all molded into the fiberglass insert. You pretty much need to install them correctly or go a different direction. But so far I really like them. I thought the forward and backward movement would be nice but I haven't really needed to adjust them. I've pretty much left them in a neutral postion. But I do like the enclosed holds. If you want to buy them I'd contact Zack Bright, he's your best bet on getting a pair.

If i found the position i wanted to put them in like you said. Then why wouldnt using the acorn nut system be a decent route. Alls im after is the enclosed hold not the adjustable part. if i put two or three on the side and two on the flat part it wouldnt go anywhere? Not trying to dis anyones ideas.this is the best forum for ski's that exists.... Just thinking of alternatives.? Not comfortable with cutting my hull lol.

Man up and start cutting. It's all part of the sport. Lol.
I think you would have issues with your inserts hearing out of the hull if you did your idea. The track that they mount in is pretty beefy. You might be able to make your own holds, I've seen it done before and they usually turn out good.

Just finished hacking up a 2012 rn with @armoredsnuffy and @akskier. These bob holds are sweet. The tray is now 19" wide. Full 26mm plush padding too. On both sides of the holds.

It's well worth it. I don't see why people are still doing old school holds.
