Ignition problem

Hi, I was riding my ski all day and after loading it up at the end of the day it wouldn't start. After trying a few times found it wasn't getting spark to one cylinder. It's a msd total loss ignition. Spark plugs are good wires and coils both work tested by switching with the one that works and when I let off the start button the plug that don't normally fire hits once.

Pickup wires seem to be pretty brittle, so sometimes you find them broken. Other times you find where they have been rubbing and ground out. You can short the 2 wires of a channel together and see if it sparks to test the channel. You can tap the pickup with a magnet and it should close the contacts and spark also.

Disconnect each pick up. Connect ohm meter to the 2 wires. You should have continuity when f/w (or other) magnet is passed over pick up. As mentioned in post #7, these (cheap) wires are brittle and often break where they exit the pick up. Sometimes repairable.
