Super Jet Ignition problem

I seem to have an electrical gremlin that comes and goes as it pleases. About a month ago i went to ride, dumped the ski in went to start it and it would turn over, but wouldn't run. Had fuel and seemed like it wasn't getting spark. I got it home...didn't really do much to it tried it again a few days later and it started. I have ridden a bunch of times since.

This past weekend I went to ride but it in and she started, but sounded a little "off" brought it up on the beach and shut it down. Took it off the beach and she wouldn't start. I kept trying and finally got it started. I took it out and it kept "breaking up". It would open it up and at higher RPM's sounded like it had a miss. When i would get off the throttle to turn it would die. Start her back up, run hi rpms with a miss then turn and it would stall.

Pulled it out of the water and started right up! Put it on a hose and it ran fine. Threw it back in the water and it started to miss again. I am assuming it not running great in the water had something to do with it being under a load.

I am running a MSD Enhancer, it it possilbe that this is the problem? Is there a way to test it? Thanks!

You can always put in a stock cdi to find out...
A visual is always good at the flywheel and stator, just to be sure the stator plate is tight and not loose. Check for any debris to the make sure nothing has dinged any of the stator coils.
On the MSD Enhancer CDI there is a red power wire that has a split to two wires and that joint always goes bad, cut it out and re-solder that joint, re-insulate the joint with liquid rubber sealer and heat shrink.
