Freestyle Im a BIG guy buying a ski that needs help!

Now I need some help, bad!
I weigh 280 right now....dropping weight fast on the diet im on(20lbs down in under 2 weeks) and I plan on stopping at 250 or so cause I don't wanna shrink! Im just curious witch would be the best ski for me. Do I buy a SXR and throw a ton of money into ot to make it flipable? I have a feeling the superjet is just gonna be to small. there's a bob gen3 for sale with a 900 in my area....I just dont knwo what way to go
I want to buy one for just screwing around and doing some freestyle as my buiddies are buying a couple.
I have childhood experience on a Superjet for many years and now i just have a couple Rxp-x's
I want something that will be capable of backflips sooner or later(i know first day I'm going to be trying it cause i love doing backflips)
at the same time I want to go down some rivers and what not, I guess i want a perfect all around ski......can I have it??!!

Should I just go out and buy this bob gen3 or should i settle down and pick up a SXR for my first ski......I upgrade quick and don't want to be regretting not getting a BOB or Rickter, shed some light on me! should I go balls out or what?

Hmm well that shed's some light cause there is a nice Superjet for sale in my area but Im worried the 700 just wont cut it, much of a diff to the 800 SXR?
The jetski's up here are not cheap right now for some reason with winter coming, there is a mint 2010 Superjet for 8900obo......I cant justify that....I am doing a trip to Glamis dunes then Pismo beach so I may just wait till then to pick on up, we get ripped in Canada. I gotta be able to find some in march I hope!
 
The superjet is going to have plenty of power. I know a lot of "big" guys that ride the superjet, shortened superjets, and shorter aftermarket hulls with no problems.

I think the yamaha superjet is going to be a better all around ski. Most people stick with the SXR's when they are doing a lot of closed course racing.

It sounds like your worried about the displacement of the engine, 700 vs 800... Don't be. 700 is plenty!

Superjet with a pole cut down and you'll be fine. As you get into it you'll find other things that might help like longer plate, shorter steering, etc that will help too.

All that is assuming you like a challenge vs settling for a SXR.

BOB? LOL.... You'll be like a spider monkey trying to hump a football. Save your money and sanity.

If the superjet is stock you are going to want to put on a pipe head prop and a few other things so that will boost the power to more then enough to get started. Doing backflips thats a different story unless you have big waves.

Putting a new rider on a 900cc BOB would be like giving a kid a Ferrari as a first car. I haven't been on one yet, but I have been on a shortened square nose and it was quite a difference between it and the way my stock round nose hull feels. Get a modded Super Jet and learn to ride before you jump on an aftermarket hull. You won't be disappointed and you can upgrade as you learn and then transplant everything into a new hull later.

Even a BOB isn't that easy to flip without the right driveline unless you really know what you're doing technique wise. The 900 G3 would do it, but perhaps it would be a very steep and potentially frustrating learning curve. If at all possible, ride one before buying. Goes for any ski, really.

PS....you won't be flipping a stockish Superjet off your own wake

I thinking the same thing regarding a steep and frustrating learning curve. Especially considering the OP's size.
 
None of my buddies have them yet. But one buddy for sure will have a ski by march cause were headin south to Glamis for dirtbiking and we gotta have them by the time we hit Pismo beach or maybe Havasu cause its closer.
we plan on taking the motorhome with a big ass trailer and loadin up.
But my dad has a cabin on the Shuswaps in BC so most the riding will be there.
Around here.....not to sure yet! but my buddy is moving to sylvan in the spring so we might go there lots.
