SXR I'm stumped. Ski won't run. I cannot figure out what's wrong. Help is appreciated

Sounds like the plug wires grounding out is going to be your issue.

You may also want to check out your fuel lines. I had a slight leak in my fuel supply line that allowed an air bubble to form in it. At idle / low load, the air bubble just sat in the line, when I'd go WOT, it'd get sucked into the carb and kill the motor. Some new lines and a few zip ties fixed that.

Waiting on Roland's coil to arrive. I'm having a friend at work look at the ski later this week; he will hopefully be able to pinpoint the issue.

Put a spark tester on it and I am losing spark, which tells me it is definitely electrical. I swapped coils and the ski sounded better on the hose. But still have to test it under load to be sure. Fingers crossed it's the coil... :fingersx:

Replaced my coil with a brand new SJ coil from Thrust. Instant fix, the ski runs awesome.

I had this same problem with a JSS coil/wires/boots. In my mind the msd boots were interfering with the cdi.

I have a friend who runs the msd boots with no problem.

An oem coil/boots fixed my problem as well.

Check timing pickup coil at stator, thay have a habit of coming loose.
Are you running the recommended resistor plugs?
