I've ridden a ton of b1100s. All I can tell you is, the difference between one that runs OK and one that is 'd@mn, that fcuker is awesome' is usually poor prop choice. My old race 8mil pv blasters were quick as $hit, and set up right, a near stock kawi 1100 with head, reeds carbs and timing advance is just about neck and neck in terms of holeshot and top end. Best thing is, the 1100 does it on pump gas all day long and isn't even breaking a sweat. A lot of riders worry about high revving triples, but it's detonation that is the triple's worse nightmare. IMO, if you aren't running 7650 PLUS rpm, you aren't even in the zone.
Not meaning to step on toes, just telling it like it is from all of our testing and racing over the years.
