Impeller stuck against wear ring

Sure looks like the stock aluminum piece of junk impeller. Try soaking it with some PB Blaster but it really doesn't matter if you destroy it as they are junk.

When you say "piece of junk", do you mean in terms of performance or durability. ?
Now that I removed the wear ring, i cleaned the impeller and looks in good shape. I do not intend to do any crazy performance racing, so is it necessary to replace it ?

Not necessary to replace if this is just your first ski and want to hit the water. Definately would replace it though as one of the first upgrades.

The aluminum impellers a bad on both performance and durability but still better than sitting on shore.
