Importing a used SJ from Japan

Hey guys, I wanted to reach out and see if anyone had some insight. I am currently living in Japan for two months, then headed back to Florida where I live normally. I have found a couple of great used super jets that I would love to bring home for personal use. I have contacted some shipping companies and there are a few options out there. Just a lot of confusing paperwork. For one, a shipping company I've spoke with reached out to customs and they sent back this form and thats it.
United States Environmental Protection Agency
Declaration Form
Importation of Motor Vehicles and Motor Vehicle Engines Subject to Federal Air Pollution Regulations

Not sure this applies to Jet skis? Has anyone else had to fill one out when importing a ski?

Also looking for any suggestions and/or ideas of cost, shipping methods ect... Right now looking at doing a LCL (less than container load) basically building a crate for it.

Thanks for having a look!

maybe @eastcoastjumper can offer advice. He might be the only active person here who has shipped skis internationally for personal use.

For what I paid in shipping costs I could of bought a few superjets back home. Although I shipped it air freight which is most expensive. Sea freight, multiple shipping depots, then trucking depots along the way its going to be loaded and unloaded a few times and that's where your cost is gonna add up. Japan to California, then California to Florida...

I literally dropped it at the airport and picked it up straight from the receiving airport saving a few transfers and it was still $$$. Before sending it out I had to go to an EPA inspection station here in the USA where they slapped a sticker on it after I showed them it was clean, without gas, battery disconnected, dry, etc. That was about $400 alone. Then you have a Carnet which is like a passport for your freight shipment. I had my ski as "trade show equipment" or something like that where I was using it in another country and it returned back to the states within one year. If you are importing to keep here, you probably have to pay tax on value on top of which.

Freight brokers are expensive when you don't deal with them all the time. My advice is that its probably the same price to buy a superjet here, even if you get one for nearly free over there.

If hes dead set on doing this, His best best depending on location in japan is to talk to @takaakimaurao on instagram or he can find him on facebook. Maybe he will have some insight on Op's scenario and have some contacts for him.
