I'm amazed at how Plexus adheres . On bias/solicited/scaled-down tensile and shear tests. (mine) Plexus performed 'better' on a number of materials including (USComposites) epoxy.

Should I retest?

Agreed. I've used both chop and plexus for redoing motor/tank/waterbox mounts and I'd take plexus over anything. U can cut, shape, and sand it to make it pretty if need be. I've replaced brackets with chop that's held we'll too, but for ease of install and final strength...Plexus is the way to go.

we use MA 425 here, what do you all use? I had my local composite dealer stock it for us (less than $50 a tube, up from last years $40 a tube) you do have to have a special gun to use it in tube form though.
I can do a group buy if anyone here is interested but dont want to buy a tube, ship a tube, lets get it together and buy 6 at a time or so.
Keep in mind a little goes a long way and it has like a 200 day SHELF LIFE

you will have to set up an account but it will be cheeper then jamestown, they make it in smaller tubes than the 500ml that uses a cheep plastic gun, if your going to go with plexus you need to make sure you git the right formula for what your bonding some plexus wont adhere to some metals and the work time is short.
The best i have found to work for most all is MA425. HOPE THIS HELPS.

some formulas EAT brass and copper , learned that the hard way LOL, MA 425 is the best we have found for composite and metal bonding. We have glued A BUNCH of hulls together with them and an azz load of inserts in with it and its been awesome all around. 45minute work time prolly 6-10hrs final set time is very safe.
I have not found the MA 425 in anything but the 480ml (I believe) tube. It is re-usable anyway so worth buying the gun and large tube IMO. Buy multiple $.70 mixing tips though and try and find the short ones to limit waste.

I still want to know what Plexus others have used.
