Installed hooker...now cavitating?

Hey guys, new to the site, i also recently installed a hooker 9/15 on my 05 RN with worx intake grate, r/d ride plate. factory limited pipe and flame arrestors. I ran the ski once with all mods except the hooker impeller and had no cavitation, after the hooker was installed, i also had cavitation on the bottom end and did not notice a real gain in low-end grunt. I also noticed a very slight vibration when letting off the throttle, but no vibration on acceleration. I read all the threads, will take a look at the intake grate bolts and pump seal. I didnt see anything in here about vibration, and ideas or maybe just related to the cavitation problem? I noticed a real gain in mid-range pull but i was hoping for more on the bottom end.

did you put the shims back on the rear two pump bolts? (If you had shims to start with).

Also, did you grease the pump seal before you installed it, did you push the pump forward before you tightened the bolts up. If not, you could be sucking air at the pump seal.

yes, there was only two washers that slid onto each bolt that went on the underside of the pump. There were no shims that were between the hull and pump. I did not grease but applied a very small amount of silicone to the pump seal where it would mate with the hull. I also did not specifically push the pump forward with much force and only pushed forward enough to line up all four bolts as i figured that any further forward and i would have problems getting the bolts to line up. I spose i could pull i back out and apply more silicone to the seal and get bolts started and then give it a couple of good thrusts forward before tightening bolts all the way, if thats what you recomend. Here are a couple of pics from when i changed props...also, i did notice that the pump seal had two small areas that seemed "pinched" where an area the size of my pinkie nail was somewhat flattened, although it was that way when i pulled it off and there was no cavitation probs before i changed props.. i could tell that the pump has not been removed before, ( you can clearly see from the stock prop that is all beat up)

Ok..i loosened the four bolts that hold the pump on and tapped and pushed that pump as much as i could before tightening the bolts back up, i also closed my bottom screw on my factory pipe and opened the top a 1/4 turn, i would like to see if that helps bottom end at all. unfortunately, im leaving tonight for 10 days and wont be able to test it till i get back....BUMMER, im jones'n for a ride
