Blaster Installed seals backwards will it matter?

Rebuilding my 701, I installed the aft 2 crank seals in the wrong order. The seal w/ the 4 or 5 raised tangs on the outer lip is in the forward position and the smooth is in the rear. It looked like the tangs where there to keep the proper spacing between the seals. They are facing the correct direction just put the wrong one on first. Is this a big deal the engine is still out of the ski but I would hate to tear it all down again. Thanks

The inner seal is the tighter of the two, now it will be exposed to water dirt etc. It may live that way for a while maybe even years but an air leak can take out your pistons or even your crank. I would bite the bullet and correct it now while the engines out and its not riding season anyway.

It's only a little sealant, flip the engine on it's side, remove the bottom case. Place seal in properly, reseal the cases and retorque. Do it right, do it once.
