Don't go drilling into the cases of an assembled motor and expect that shards don't fall into your crank case. Only do this if your cases are apart so you can clear loose aluminum.
If you have access to a lathe, you can make your own to suit the drill size available to you. I cannot do that anymore , so now I source them through a dealer from hotproductsusa.com. They measure approx. 0.243". Difficult to get a drill bit for a good fit. Letter size "C" , or 6.2mm would be appropriate for that. No one I know of has those lying around. I've done like Quinc - above post- tight fit and red loctite.
I have drilled, and installed on an assembled engine. You MUST be careful. I stuff the intake track with a rag, grease the drill bit to keep metal pieces sticking to it. I also hold a shop vac right up while drilling. Go slow, and you will not get any metal in the engine.
If you are running two after market carbs, or carbs with fuel pumps on ea you need two pulse lines. One to each pump. OE is set up with a slave carb, that feeds from the 1st one.
