Does anyone have any hints or tricks to installing the neoprene-style hydroturf? It's the same as the stock SuperJet turf. Does it heat, stretch, and glue similar to the standard turf?

Thanks.

After search for hydroturf installing tips, the best trick I came away with was Supergoo, this way the job can be detailed, w/o edges and seams separating.

JBWeld is still #1, the prototypers best friend.

I think you mean DAP Weldwood.

JBWeld may have a million and one uses, but gluing down turf isn't one of them. :smashfreakB:

I returfed my first ski with stock turf after I installed the footholds and that stuff will tear a LOT easier than the regular hydroturf. So be careful. I also don't think it took to heat as good as regular turf.

Original red label DAP, but supergoo for detailing, seams/ edges...

JBWeld is not for turfing, but just about everything else. :wiggle:

1st-- who in the hell knew it was stock sj turf
at the hydroturf site it says its "shark skin"
that's all
nothing about that it was not like turf
or that it was stock anything
how was I supposed to know it was not like any other turf they sell
but

2nd-- I think it will be fine
it is so stretchy
as it is
it does not need heated
and I think I can lay the whole mat and walls and footholds
with 1 piece
leaving NO seams :hail:
that would look cool, NO????

3rd-- I wear shoes
i don't think it being a little slippery will matter much
---with my shoes in the footholds-----
and it is very squishy too
i think that will add traction
with my big fat a$$'s weight pushing down on it

I think it will be fine :)

I'll keep you posted

I think it would be pretty cool to use on the gun wales if it wasnt such a pita to get off, most of us have been threw the hours of horrific removing stock turf.I wouldnt use it as the mat on the bottom because if its anything like stock it wears out quick.
