Instruction Thread for specific ski?

I saw the instructional thread forum but it didn't seem appropriate to post this question there since those threads seem to be "how tos".

But...i am wondering if there is a thread specific to the 440 tricks. Right now I don't have the engine upgrade so for now while I decide what to do (e.g., sell ski and get new ski, put xscream engine in it and/or carbon hull, etc) I wanted to see what people are and can do with a stock 440 to manage my expectations.

thanks

There is a specific section just for 300/440/550.

If you don't see what your looking for in that section, it's because the ski is so limited, most people wise up and move on to one that is. (hint, hint).

Thanks man, I will check it out later for sure.

As for your "hint", unfortunately...and it may be obvious, but i am rather mental and am not the best at taking advice, especially that which is logical. Accordingly, hopefully the thread you provided provides a robust review of available carbon hulls for the 440

Either way a 440 is at about the bottom of the totem pole. Dont waste your money modifying it. Buy a better platform from which to start your mods. Superjet is the industry standard when it comes to freestyle. You might pull off a few subs or fountains with your current equipment and to do what you wanna do a 440 hull wont cut without extensive modification at which point you'd have probably spent more than what a rtr superjet or am build would have cost you. Not to mention your time, whats it worth?

thanks and this is similar feedback to what others have said so i do believe it. However, I sort of like that the expectations are low so that when i do actually end up doing more an a 440 than others and doing as much as those on better skis, it will bring satisfaction. I know that sounds lame but i like the challenge

It's not that expectations are low, it's more that it literally will not work.

Here you go, this video showcases the wide variety of tricks that can be accomplished on your JS440 platform. Keep in mind, these guys are running modded 550s, so you're fighting an up hill battle. If you want a simple mod for your 440, I have a set of 6 degree aluminum handlebars that I used to run on my JS500 that I would sell you cheap. They're way more natural feeling than the stock V bars that it came with.

Im not saying a 440 can't be fun but EVERY single question you might possibly have, has been answered, twice, at least. Search here and the vintage section of pwctoday.com. Or keep making threads about putting a team scream engine in your 440 and soak in the wealth of knowledge that follows.
