That's a 750sx/sxr800 pump, should be easy to find one. Check ebay and post in the wtb section. I don't know how they went about a pump shoe because of the conversation. Jd make an aluminum shoe for the sxr that could likely work with some modification. Looks like a hack pump job, but we can get it right.

Those studs are gonna be a pain in the ass because of the corrosion. Soak them with some pb blaster. I bet you would have to beat that cylinder off. Heat will help a ton but be careful with an assembled engine.

Why are you going with the gridle kit now?

As a newbie myself, I've been listening to the general advice I've been receiving. I'm hoping it'll be better in the long run and just deal with getting them removed now. I'm going put the other 3 back on so it holds the engine tight. I don't want to have to break that seal and have to replace the gaskets.

Everything this guy did to this ski was jerry rigged.. I can tell yuou how many zip ties are holding things that shouldnt be done. Any idea how hard it would be to switch it over to the 650 pump? I'll start using google now.

Honestly, I don't know what pump would work better. Maybe someone that been in your shoes will chime in.

If it where me I'd buy a sxr pump shoe and get it fitted to the hull, once that's don't I'd get the oem pump seal and work on that fitting rather than using silicone. You already know the 750 pump will bolt up, the 650 pump will take further modification to bolt up. Plus the pump shoe is built onto the 650 pump so it had to be resiliconed every time. That means waiting for it to dry before riding, scraping, read doing it everytime the pump comes out.
