I've searched this thread for info on this issue without luck. Can anybody steer me in the right direction/offer advice?
I managed to tear the inserts clean out of the hull into which the the two front locating bolts of the intake grate thread into. I've glassed-in some new inserts but fear the same thing will happen in the future. It strikes me the most bullet-proof set up would be to de-foam the void where the inserts reside and fill with resin. I then propose to drill through the resin and mount the grate in place with two long bolts extending through to the little storage area beneath the seat (I'd bond in an alloy plate onto which the nuts would seat).
I know i have the driveshaft tunnel to contend with, but is this a possible solution?
All advice will be much appreciated.
