Ok so I have recently discovered that my pole is cracked on the bottom cap. the part i am refering to is the bottom bracket attached to the body of the pole that the screw goes through, and it is right near where the spring attaches. what are my options. sad thing is the new motor is going in tonight and I havent even been on the water this year yet!

its a 99 roundnose, it is a lil older now i guess, so wear and tear. i saw that cold fusion offers a pole base. anyone have one. are they good/warrantied. Im not going that big yet, but I wreck myself alot :)

Go ahead and consider shortening it if you are replacing the bottom piece. All you have to do is chop 2" or 3" off the bottom and you will notice a big difference in handling.

Its already at -4 and i'm about to order a -1.75 steering system. so I am wondering if that is going to be too short for a long day of rec. riding til a mini trawler shows up on the lake.

i dont know where exactly your crack is but but you should check out my crack. (sound great huh) no i cracked the bracket all the way from the top to the bottom where the pole sits. its now bolted all the way through the bracket to the other side and tons of jb weld. solid. let it break off first.

Bringing back an old thread. I cracked the top part where the steering system mounts. What are my options. I would like to keep the same pole or most of it, since I have the 94 graphics still on my boat and plan on keeping it that way.
