The future is NOW!!! This will change the sport, just like aftermarket hulls did!
The truth is people sat around on their hands for too long and did nothing to prevent these two stroke bans, seriously there has been smokeless nonpolluting oil out for years, I run it in my skis, have for years, now lets see a show of hands here for all the rest of the people that run non polluting smokeless oil. I don't expect to see many.
Dude its not the smoke from the oil that got us kicked off our lake. Its the unburnt raw fuel that comes straight out the exhaust from a 2-stroke.
I'm really open to anything that will allow me to keep riding a standup at my lake. So far, every avenue I've explored have been ok as long as I was chasing buoys but nothing can match the power to weight ratio that a 2 stroke offers, which is a requirement for a freestyle ski. This looks very promising IMO.
not trying to be a downer but a rotary will be twice as much to rebuild and will take a good amount of knowledge todo properly...thats why i swap v8s into mazda rx7s haha....would be insane power potential for a ski though
I tried to get in on these a couple years ago myself but they had it well in hand. At 10,000 units the cost works out something like $800 a unit sonall it takes is some commitment...and some $$ backing.
If I had 8mil, I would spend it all to get this going. I've been working on this since '96 but like one guy said earlier, they just want to sell the rights to the engine not produce them. Everyone wants to get something for nothing now days. How bout we pull together and make this happen? The interest is there. This is my life's dream to produce these things. If we don't do something soon we will see our sport die. We can't let that happen.
