internal fill

How do you block off the front fill when going to internal-
also has anyone tried fitting a 550cc tank?

i bought a 550 that a guy hose clamped half of a BUSCH light can with some silicone on the front tank fill in order to shave the fuel fill. oddly enough it held fine.

Ive herd that people use a black rubber type cap....it has a hose clamp around it and works the same way the beer can does..u should be able to find them in a hardware store near the pvc pipe

Rubber cap from home depot 1.5" under $3, even comes with the clamp!

rubber cap works great but it is best to go to an auto parts store and find an oil resistant one cuz the home depot one will deteriorate eventually.

I am running a 550 tank. It fits nicely.

I have my external fill hole capped atm by simply using the gas cap and assembly on the inside of the hull, and sealed up the hole in the hull.

I didn't bother adding a internal filler, i just pull the pick up outs and fill it that way.

Just dont use silicone... I used that and the gas ate it away. I am still searching for an epoxy or some sort of glue that is gas resistant. I also screwed mine to the tank.

Uh, got about 4-5 years on mine, no issues, just as plyable as the day it was new.

You dont have to put an internal filler, just unscrew the pickup and pull it out.

I also screwed it down. I used resin and it lasted a long time but eventually it deteriorated..
