Now that Craigslist is charging people to post - what are people using for selling/buying items? I used to use Craigslist for everything (skis, motorcycles, cars, tools, yard equipment).
I guess Facebook Marketplace could be a good back up.

Any others that I am missing?

They are only charging for selling cars and trucks though right? $5/30 day listing.

We ditched Craigslist and switched to FB Marketplace over a year ago. The simple fact that you know exactly who you are dealing with was a huge reason.

Plus Craigslist has been so broken for so long, who has the patience to deal with it.

Will the fee discourage the spammers and make Craigslist better?

Guess I didn't realize that they were only charging for cars and trucks! My mistake.

I doubt the fee will stop anyone. Scammers will utilize anything they have to make a buck.
