I would go, but 2 a couple of years ago I got hassled for a non-titled trailer by OPP. We aren't required to title here in Kentucky, and not even trailer lights if you can see the vehicle's.

Anyway, I tried to get it titled, what a pain. Most people don't even know who to call or deal with. I finally got an application for title and was supposed to get a call from the Sheriff's department once they received the paperwork so they could inspect, never did get a call. I called them, they were clueless to what I was even asking about.

I gave up.

Darin, in Ontario its the same thing about lights, if you can see signals on the car (turn/stop) during the day (1/2hour after sunrise and 1/2 hour before sunset) then you need nothing as per Part VI Section 62 Subsection 24 , the cop probably didn't know what part of the trafic act to look under:dunno:

"""""""""""""""""""""""""
Lamps required on rear of trailer, etc.

(24) When on a highway at any time from one-half hour before sunset to one-half hour after sunrise and at any other time when, due to insufficient light or unfavourable atmospheric conditions, persons and vehicles on the highway are not clearly discernible at a distance of 150 metres or less, every trailer and every object or contrivance drawn by a vehicle shall carry on the rear thereof one lighted lamp, which shall display a red light only. R.S.O. 1990, c. H.8, s. 62 (24).

""""""""""""""""""""""""""

as for registration, I have an old trailer plate I can give you from ontario though, from a trailer thats only used in a yard!!

i know... thats why i said i was trying to attend it.

but wanted to know if making it the 29th as well was worth it. i.e. what is 'special' about Ipperwash (other then a bunch of us freestyle'n foo's)

It's a great beach that you can drive on. Also if we get lucky and get a north wind we could get big waves:cheer:.
No wind = flat water:disappointed:.

I'm shooting for Ipperwash. What's the launch situation like? Is there a normal public access? Or drive truck on beach, load on beach cart type? What's our expectations. :11:

drive truck on beach. Pretty soft though so you need to carry the skis the last 10ft or so. Nice for the standups but a bit of a problem if anyone brings a couch.

Definitely no real boat launch anywhere near Ipperwash.
I'll have my beach cart there for anybody with a stand-up that wants to use it. No sitdowns on the beach cart as it was never designed to carry that much weight.
