Parts are interchangeable.... Same drive shaft, wear ring, veins housing (may not have bosses drilled), bolts, exit nozzle may be plastic or alumn and the exit nozzle sizes can be different. Both props do a good job as paperweights.
Only difference is the stator/vein housing. The 650s had the side hole open where the stock bilge pump attached to it. The 701s are don't have that part open. They are normally drilled and tapped later for dual cooling.
Here are a couple pics to show you what I'm talking about. The picture with both stators has the 650 one on the top left side and the 701 on the bottom. (The 701 has been tapped for dual cooling)
yah my sn came with a 650 (it no has a 701 or did until i pulled it yesterday...) but it has been tapped on both sides one for the cooling one for the bilge (also contains water on bilge side w/ "T" exit)
if i plug the exhaust hole that will give me dual cooling pretty easily? I got a "B" pipe and ride in hot water so i am gonna do it however i can but I took it apart yesterday and realized it has already been ported and from what i can find which isnt much the bigger hole should work for cooling?
