Is it just me?

Sometimes I find stuff in the "for sale section " that I just gotta have. I'll send a reply or a pm and wait. And wait. And wait. No reply what so ever. I realize not all people wanna deal with the hazzles of overseas shipping, I really understand that. So is it just me or is this something you guys recognize? :dunno:

I am not saying that this is happening all the time, but it happens.

I see that quite often. That's why I have a guy "over there" where I can send stuff to and he ships it out to me in Sweden. But in most of the cases I don't even get that response; " no overseas shipping". Just silence. Odd.

it happens to me sometimes. i think its because they may have someone lined up to buy it, but the sale hasnt been completed (waiting on payment, etc.) they dnt want to tell you its sold or pending because if it falls through they can just respond and sell it to you

even if they don't want to sell to you, they should say so. Just ignoring your posts is pretty lame. I haven't run into that yet, but I haven't purchased that much here. How long are you waiting? I have had it take a couple days before.

There is only alot of paperwork if you deal with UPS, Fedex or any of those...through USPS you just have to fill out a Customs form which is very simple. I have shipped overseas very often and actually prefer to ship to people overseas...they are alot nicer.

After a week to ten days I pretty much say F**k it, try to sell it to someone else, then.

I will quite often check to see what shipment would cost before I respond. Sometimes it's just not feasable, I will however take the time to respond as such. The paperwork is pretty basic for overseas and Canada. I have sold to Denmark, Australia, and the UK with no issues.

There are a lot of scams that come from overseas as well so I would understand if someone wouldn't take the risk. I have been contacted several times with offers to buy things for way more than things are worth. If I feel that someone is fishing for my information I will drop all communication immediately or not make it in the first place.
