IMO the advantages of the A/M poles aren't worth the huge price tag. Especially the ones in the $1000 and up range.
The stock pole is light, has a lot of A/M support, will help upright the ski if capsized, can be shortened, and can even be somewhat adjustable with a riser bar setup.
I'd seriously be that guy with a stock Yami pole on his Rickter haha.
