Super Jet Is it toast?

Pulled apart a motor I got from a waveraider today. I knew the motor was done but dang... it was a bit more tore up than I anticipated.

Check this pic of the lower case half. It’s pretty chewed. Is this still useable? I was planning on building a new motor over the next season with these cases. Top case half is unscathed thankfully.

Anyone want to chime in and let me know if it’s trash or not?

That thing is finneee. You just need to make sure the case isn’t cracked. A crack could lean it out and ruin the fresh motor after you rebuild it.

I would just clean it up a whole bunch.

If it is cracked it’s possible to weld them to repair.

X3 run that beaotch is long as it's not cracked. Take a bit of sandpaper to get rid of any burrs or bits that may break free.

Drop it from the counter, if it lands butter side up its toast.

Just make sure there are no cracks, and no burrs on the mating face. Get out all the debris, will be fine.
