I gotcha now,

sorry, man I hate that you are taking it somewhere ($$) BUT, once you are aggrevated with it, its likely bet to get fresh eyes on the problem.

I agree here, fresh plugs, crank it over a few times with the plugs out, verify spark, verify fuel flow ( idle circuit might be plugged if it sat with old gas)

you could probably have it running in 15 minutes, with nothing more spent than a set of plugs, and a beer or 3 while you blow thru the carb circuits.

no i'm sorry i wasn't clear. that's not what i meant. the ski has not been taken out since the early last fall. normally after taking the flame arrestor off and covering it a hand it will fire after a few times. this is to be done because the ski doesn't have a primer. then for the rest of the day the ski starts fine.

i did not mean yesterday. it fired right up on Friday late morning for 5-10 seconds while sitting on the trailer. and fired right up on Friday afternoon for about 5 seconds while sitting on the trailer. But, on Friday I drained the gas tank because it had old gas in it. on Saturday I put in new gas/oil. I did get it to fire for 1/2 a second, but because i had one hand on the start button and the other covering the flame arrestor I wasn't able to hit the throttle quick enough to keep it going. after that i wasn't able to get it to fire again.

Ok before you go and take it to the stealership unplug the stop side of the the kill switch, that will be a black and a white wire, then try it again and see if it will start,if it does you will either have to choke it or plug the switch back up to kill the engine but on Yamahas, that would be the second place I would go to,its a pretty common problem.

THANKS, it's worth a try especially since I can't take the ski in until the end of the week.

update

THANKS for everyone's help.
I got my ski back from the shop on Thursday and rode it hard today and LOVED it!!!!! Add me to the ever long list of people who changed from Kawi standups to a Superjet and will never go back.

The issue with my SN was simply that I overflooded it. The shop drained all the oil and put a primer in and now it runs flawlessly.
