SX/SXi/SXi Pro Is the 750SXi a good ski?

I am not recomending Kawi over Yami parts but IMO there is nothing wrong with a well built Kawi motor in an AM hull. They perform much better in a light hull then the heavy kawi hull. The pump is the downfall to Kawi, not the motor IMO.
A well built 750 in a RoK or a BOB or a Q8 would be fun as hell IMO.

If I would have seen this $1000 deal on this kawi I woulda bought it and put it in a BOB for the fun of it. Kuz ya cant get a ROK anymore.

Anytime... Also he may rebuild your motor for alot less. maybe do what sjetrider said by putting ported small pin cylinders with new pistons and another head on, that would be a sweet set up if your looking to get some good low end out of the 750!

Yeah it is pretty bad. Could a failing oil injector cause this? I know it could have been a number of things but it looks like it overheated.

Interesting I was just kind of surprised because usually every kawi post ends up with a torch and pitchfork lynch mob. I always here kawi lack of low end and pop I I didn't think it would be worth the money in an a/m hull. Now that i picked up a sj based ski I was going to keep the 750 for the gf and friends to ride but maybe ill start looking at a Bob.

I am going replace all of the fuel, primer, and cooling lines on the ski. If these numbers are wrong please correct me:

1/4" for fuel lines
1/8" for primer lines
3/8" for cooling lines

Also, does anyone have any recommendations for brand of lines or websites? I have used a lot of crappy stuff in the past that hardened up within a few months. I am all for supporting companies on the site. Thanks

I bought all my 3/8 cooling line from lowes. They have clear braided line that should hold up good.

I have been using 3/8" fuel line from the autoparts store for my cooling lines. No problems thus far. Just not as pretty as the other stuff and kind of thick, but is cheap and works well. I'd like to switch over to the nicer clear lines but it's hard to replace working parts for pretty ones.

Not sure... Thought about purple but it does not appear that the make 1/4 fuel line in that color. The do have it in the 3/8 though. What color did you go with?

You may want to consider 3/16" on fuel line for a more secure fit, measure your carb fittings.

Thanks for the heads up Mark. I have been out of the game for a while so I was not 100% what size it took. I will make sure to measure before I order.

This is what I found when I got the motor out and the topend off :no:. Inside the hull is pretty darn clean though.
