Is there an easy way to confirm coil A in MSD TL?

Kind of. Pull the stator quick connector apart. Short green to the other wires with the plugs sitting on your engine head and TL on. You'll see which set of stator wires fires which plug. Though you won't know which is which unless you pull your flywheel cover, rotate by hand, see which sparks when which cylinder is high.

I'd just try to start it. If its backwards it won't run, then switch either the stator ins in the quick connector, or the leads out to the coils. Or just switch the plug wires to the opposing holes.

It only works if you configure the switches for testing. Elect start and start retard must be off. Instructions outline it pretty good. Only way to be sure.

I can get mine to spark with dip switches set for running.
Just quickly turned the engine back and forward off the coupler when the piston is at TDC. Plugs out.
Doesn't spark every time but would be enough to determine which coil is which.
