Hello Sir for breaking parts we do not warranty when it is broken only for defective in a material.

As I explained too him in the email :S he did go on and explain how I could weild it back together or screw the chin pad on to the braket, after spending 300 on a chinpad who in there right mind would screw it to there braket??
looks like I'm going to cut the broken part right off and fab up a new braket, I bought this pole in the fall got it powder coated so if it's not covered I don't want to spend the cash again. However I'm extreamly disapointed in RRP and IMO it's not how wonderful or poorly your product is made it's how you stand behind your work, so after saying that I'll never buy an RRP again. Even tho they are super super sexy

It could have been a bad casting, (which should have been covered) or perhaps just the perfect blow to the area that caused it to fail too. I would be asking how many other poles have had this happen before i condemn the whole lot. There are lots of these poles out there with complaints but there are also tons of happy customers too.

I would be buying one of the new Billet ones if i had to buy new anyway just because its stronger and cleaner.

I was there when it broke, it was just a light knock on the pole and the piece just crumble off. The cast looks to be very poor quality, the quality doesn't equal the price at all

You act like rrp doesn't offer a billet pole they offer both. just people choose cast or there budget does.

Like others have said RRP has just came out with the billet 5 years after they introduced the RRP Pole.

How many different ways can you build a Pole? Hull? Intake Grate? Ride Plate? Prop? Hood?

There is not many different ways to make some things. It looks like they made some changes to the design some. They may have felt that RRP was not looking at the deffecencies (SP!) and felt they could improve it.

was going to stay out of this but what the hell...im one of the guys behind the titan i did import rrps into the uk but the failier rate was unaceptable , and when questioned about waranty well..wasnt impressed with that either and a comment made to me at the world finals if you can do any better go for it......so i did
what you have to remember is more products ideas etc is better for the end user , im in no way just a suit i ride and i sponser riders so we listend to the feed back and built what was required
just remember the first man built the wheel ...then someone put a tyre on it ....evoloution

and we warranty everything I sell

I know of about 5 RRP poles breaking off the chinpad support ears. I also know of several being covered under warranty, although quite reluctantly. If you aren't running the RRP chinpad support/steering stopper (that's apparently mandatory, but isn't supplied with the pole, and not documented anywhere) then you're going to have an even harder time getting a warranty claim from them.

Jeez that sucks.. I'd better be careful with my RRP pole, can't afford to pay twice if the warranty is like that..
