Is this chamber junk?

I came across a used b pipe set up a while ago for my Superjet but noticed the wider end of the chamber that connects to the head pipe was dropped or something because it has a flat edge. You can see it in these photos, the opening is more of an oval. Am I asking for an exhaust leak if I install this or will the coupler mash in there enough to fill the void? Seems to me it may be junk?

It looks like the previous owner used a hammer on the face of the flange. Why? probably to try to make it fit with a bad engine/drive line alignment? Or to fit some other hull? Whatever.... You can not fix a "B" pipe chamber fit with a hammer or by stuffing socks or underwear between the hull and the pipe.

Once installed properly, the head pipe flange and the chamber flanges should be flush and tight together. If there's a gap between the two, the silicone coupler will not last and burn through. And let's not forget to use the proper rolled edge SS clamp, MADE for silicone hose....Mcmaster Carr

The flange is probably 6061, and the chamber is 1001 or 3003 soft aluminum (formable in annealed condition). You can re-anneal that flange end and work it back to round (matching the head pipe roundness). If where the previous hammer beating comes up short and leaving a gap, get someone to build that up with weld.

Oh that's sweet Wax is making the chambers now! Haven't been paying attention. Thx cuz as you may know Factory says they are 3 months out, which means in 3 months it will be another 3 months lol.

At least I ended up with a decent head pipe and manifold for what I paid for this junk!

Thanks all!

The Law of Factory Pipe states that for every time someone calls to ask about B pipes, the delivery date gets pushed back another 3 months.

Take it to a machine shop and tell them you need it round again!!!!!!!!! They will do just like what Terry said. Heat up and then put in the press. They may even have a round cone that they can use to help make it round again.

Someone that knows what they are doing could easily fix it , it has to be annealed first to soften it up, you use an acetylene rich, sooty flame to heat up the Aluminum, this softens it so it will bend without breaking.
