Other Is this trailer going to be trouble? (using snowmobile trailer for ski's)

Looking for a trailer to put two ski's on. This was wide enough so I went out to look at it. Figured I could add two beds for the skis to sit on.

Owner went over the whole thing and repainted/welded, it looked fairly nice (except the tires were :):):):) and one was missing a lug bolt :27: )

He's only asking $400 which seem very reasonable. Assured me it handled fine on the road, But I had my doubts when I tested it out. The short tongue is just barely long enough to prevent the trailer of colliding with my truck when I jack knife it. You could feel the trailer trying to pick up the rear of the truck over every bump. I'm sure that weight in the right places would help that...

Anyone have experience using a snowmobile trailer as a jetski trailer? Is this thing the headache I'm making it out to be or am I just worrying over nothing?

(Ps Yes I should just be looking for a 2 place jet ski trailer. But I kind of need a flat bed trailer as well & the only actual 2 place trailers I'm seeing in my area are rusted wip's listed at >$1000 which is insane.)

Thanks!

$400 for that trailer is obsured. I converted a single jet ski trailer to hold 2 stand ups. it works perfect. Costs about $100 or less in materials.

I personally went through a few wheel bearings on snowmobile trailers. the wheels are significantly smaller so have to turn at least 2x a full size tire, making the bearings hotter. That along with dipping it in the water could not be to plesant... just my experience and yes i had bearing buddies... good luck

I would avoid that one. That short tongue would be a nightmare as well..would make backing that trailer up very hard( and easy to take out a bumper or that wood). Get yourself a single trailer and convert it...or a double trailer and put a flat bed on it with removable bunks.
