Is water getting to engine a problem with lay down pipes??

The question is: Will an "upside down p trap" stop water from flowing into the exhaust with the room available inside a jetski hull? Where is Mr. Wizard when you need him?

I think multiple "wizards" have gave u good solutions. You seem to prefer to keep wondering instead of riding your ski and finding out what works best for you

Like others have mentioned, raising the water box fixes the issue in lake and surf, no issues. I added a plumbing pipe cap and slit the side to form a flap as a secondary protection in surf if ski sits in shollow water with wave action.

3.5 inch Eva below box, top of box is about the same height as the 4 bolt flange atop a sbn 44 carb

The RRP laydown pipe waterbox does not have a baffle, which is why they are so poor with water performance and also are so loud. Also the waterbox outlet needs to be higher in ski which what Harbor found also.

We have a laydown pipe waterbox in testing. We replaced RRP waterbox in a badass which has a RRP carbon pipe and water problems were fixed.

Do you have a problem with me that we need to hash out? This a forum where things are discussed, not the lake where we ride. My skis are not complete at the moment or I would have tried it already.

We run a RRP pipe and water box with a 2 piece hose with a couple bends. It raises the exhaust hose up well above the water line while floating. Works great, never had a problem and we ride/float/talk/rest/ride/float/talk/rest etc. a lot in rough water. Not surf, but rough lake water, never any issues.
