Thanks Joker, I swear this ski will be the death of me. Defiantly bit off a little more than I could chew, but I need to Finnish it soon! I Have a baby due in Oct, and I defiantly won't have time after that for any big projects.

Been a while but making progress. Hull is complete and painted. Working on shimming the motor and installing brackets etc. Top deck still needs some holes drilled for bilge fittings and some other stuff, so I'm waiting to paint the top. Need some motivation so I'm trying to get the motor running!

So how hard was it to rocket the nose? I just cut the tray and shortened the back of my SN and am trying to decide if i should rocker too.

Honestly it wasn't to hard, just time consuming and a lot of fiberglass n resin. If I had to do it again I probably just leave the hull alone and ride! Haven't ridden it yet so I can't say anything about performance but it's taken me two years to get to this point due to frustration with fiberglass.... If you have any more questions fire away!

An easier route (and possibly better) would be to get a kit from carterB. Tested tried an true rocker nose, templates, the whole 9 yards.

Costs an arm and a leg too, I have always watered to rocker a SN just because I think they look awesome but not sure I'm ready for that big of a project.

Another route, take everything out of the ski including thd nose foam. Hang it by the back of the ski up on the air with the nose facing down. Pour 2 part foam in the nose and let cure. After it cures, put the ski on the stand. Cut away the nose with a precise cutter, leave the foam in tact. Reshape the foam the way you want it, glass over it from thd outside. Let that cure, cut out the 2part on the inside, reinforce from the inside.

This square looks badass dude, good job.

That was how I was going to do it step for step if I did it.

That's basically what I did... But I cut the nose off, then taped around the inside of the hull so when I went to pull the foam out it came right out.
