Check this little footstrap they are using in conjunction with a footholds on the Superjet hull. Those Bun hulls are supposed to be shorter and wider. The X2 is kinda sweet too.

I wondered that myself. My best guess is it is a silencer off a dirt bike and they use it to keep the noise down until they get in the water. There are other pics that show them right in an urban location.

Getting the ski's in and out on those rocks would be interesting, coz lets face it, when was the last time you saw a Japanese guy that weighed in hefty enough to muscle a ski up the rocks?

I assume you are referring to the X2 footholds? I'd like them if I ever made a strictly flatwater X2. Paper thin hull with a tiny tank, hard shell bindings and anything else I don't think would be worth the effort in surf...............maybe if I drop off the planet for a year I can make everything I want.............

im guessing it puts the exhaust away from the pump when doing gay tail stands!!!
