First I had to get all the stupid turf off. That will never happen again. I'm a big baby and got 5 blisters out of the deal. Jonathan, yet again, decided to take a short cut with the DA on this, but that was AFTER I was blessed with the blisters. Isn't he so nice and thoughtful!

Next came the scary part-the cutting. After Mark drew the outline for the footholds he cut into the first side. Then I decided to give it a try. It looked like a woodpecker got ahold of it by the time I was done, but I got the job done-I just gave it a little character. We also had to remove the fire extinguisher holder in order to put the foothold in on the right side.

looking good! I better not let my girlfriend see any of this. She might want to start taking the 550 i gave her apart. But then again maybe i should show it to her....:cool2:

Next we put the footholds in place and screwed them in so we could epoxy them in for good. We used short sheetmetal screws and West Systems epoxy with 403 filler b/c we used all the 404 up on Jonathan's ski. We made sure not to get the epoxy on the screws so we could remove them later. We ended up not having enough screws (Mark was being a little picky about the size of them) so Jonathan and I had to make a trip to Lowe's. We learned not to leave Mark and Lou unsupervised while we were gone-especially with the heat gun-remember Mark's little fire with Jonathan's ski). We came back to some fun pictures on our camera. (Mark is the one in the Yamaha hat and the one with the drill at my ski, where it SHOULD NOT BE!!! and Lou is the one that looks like he is about to take a bit out of the camera)

We used part of the sides we cut out to cover the old fire extiguisher cap. I am glad to get rid of that thing, I was always cutting my knee on it!
Now time to glass them in...I started doing this, but my loving husband thought I was going too slow so he took it from me! What a bully!:aargh4:
And while he was doing that, we decided it was time for a snack so we decided to use Lou's ski for a buffet table. It worked well...thanks Lou!

They are now glassed!!! And Jonathan is again covered in his rash-looks like I have to do all the glass work from now on-he's allergic to it. That sucks!:17:

Finally we drilled holes in the footholds to put the foam in. We did that late in the evening and called it quits until the morning. Woke up to oozzing foam still coming out of the holes and decided it was going to take a while for it to get done. Jonathan and I are going to paint it now and then turf. I think I am going to try speckled silver top deck with a black hand pole. and lots of pictures of kitty cats!:arms: :arms: :arms:

ok, jessi's been in a bit of a slump on working on this thing, so i brought her ugly hood in to primer it. it looks a lot better not lookin at all the filler and cracks and crap, i think this might help get her back on track...she's wants a somewhat pretty ski, so she's gonna have to get back at it!!:cool2:
i think she may need a little encouragement:27:
