Hey All,

Before I order another pair from California (jetskimechanic.com)...

Does anyone know of a place in Canada to get a pair?

Oh yeah...any advice on sizing?

The last pair I got were size 10 and fit like a 9...way too tight for my feet

TIA

Cheers

fyi...just started wearing a new pair of those boots....within 3 months the velcros straps around ankles seperate and look like hell....same thing happened to my friend's....it a good 3 months boot !!

It may be a good idea, if you get another pair to superglue where the sole meets the shoe and such. Also I've seen after the soles start to come apart people have stitched the soles back on. It works quite well.

Place in St-Sauveur Quebec called Empire. They openned up last winter and they had a few pairs of boots in stock but not many. I spoke with the manager and he said they were going to get a lot more stuff during the summer. I did not get a chance to go back though.

Hey All,

Thanks for the quick replies....

Yeah the pair I got and never used looked a bit dodgy....but never did try them out.

So what else do you guys wear? It's not like we have much choice for footwear tailored to us.

I just wear a pair of running shoes....but that SUCKS for the winter...I need neoprene. Problem is wet suit booties aren't rigid enough.

I saw someone in another thread mention they just got their Quakysense boots for the neoprene socks....and they slip those into a pair of Chuck Taylors.

Thanks again for any ideas.

Cheers

Good thing you got your first pair of jet pilot boots out of the way!

(My first pair lasted me about 6 rides)

The only thing those are good for is the neopreme (spelling?) boot.

Buy these Asics Wrestling shoes 1 size bigger and wear your neopreme boot.

In Example, I wear a size 13 shoe... so i bought size 14 wrestling boots and wear the boot that acts like a thick sock. Fits great!

Sweet....that looks perfect....and I think the neoprene socks in the JP boots I already have actually fit....just too tight if I put 'em in the boots.

So where'd ya find wrestling boots??

Cheers

Well I think Walmart is the only one of those we have in Canada....but wrestling isn't big sport up here. No worries though...I'll find 'em somewhere.

Cheers

My Jet Pilot boots lasted about 3 rides, and the Velcro self destructed. Actually the Velcro held so good the stitching all ripped out. I had the straps fixed and then the new Velcro kept coming undone. Now I have a snap at the end to hold it. I guess I'll be watching for sole problems next...
