SXR jet power loss. ideas ?

I was riding yesterday on a SXR and I was in the surf. For some reason the jet lost power when throttling and would not get on the plane. It was also vibrating quite a fair bit. So i started dogging it back to the pick up point and after about 5 minutes the jet started to work again like normal and the vibration went away.

I am thinking maybe a sucked in some seeweed or something in through the intake grate and it had to work its way through the prop before it was ok again. Would this be a reasonable assumption or anyone got any other ideas.

Your probably right, anything that gets caught up in there will cause cavitation which will cause vibration and loss of traction. I ride on a lake and ive had bottle caps, sticks, rocks, cans, etc.. all get caught up in there. Usually they blow themselves out and its all good.
