Hey Folks,
I was planning on keeping this motor as a backup in case I needed to take my big motor out or something, but it just seems kinda dumb to let this beast sit on the shelf.
I bought my Havoc with this motor in it and was told it was Blue's "personal motor" and had "extra porting" - I can't confirm or deny that, but I can say this motor ABSOLUTELY RIPS. Literally every person that rode it was blown away with the power for such a small motor (there are guys coming off 1200s/etc).
I rode the hell out of this motor last season and loved every second. Towards the end of the season I had a rear crank bearing go and it scored the cylinders a bit and damaged a dome. I sent the top end off to JMs machine shop and had them go one size over with a fresh bore/home/chamfer. JM supplied new pistons, wrist pin bearings, rings, gaskets, new dome, etc. (I have JM receipts if you are interested). The rear PTO bearing on the crank has been replaced with a brand new Koyo OEM yamaha bearing so there should be no issues in the future.
Specs:
JM 781, fresh top-end (0 hrs)
38mm OEM carbs PERFECTLY jetted
Carbon reeds (unknown brand)
36cc Domes -about 210psi IIRC - you need to run 1gal of race gas to 4 gals 93 - I have pump gas domes also but one might have a few nicks in it IIRC. perfectly usable though.
The paint needs some touch up. I haven't had a chance to run to the store and grab the matching paint (first time I did I bought the wrong can). Also, one of the ears for coupler cover mount is broken off on one of the bed plates. If this is an issue, I might have an extra bed plate I can throw in but it won't be color matched.
Looking for $S0LD for the package. I have a JM lightened flywheel I can sell with it for a bit extra.
