It happens all the time unfortunately. I was at Taylorsville Lake when a lady was killed by her husband when she turned right in front of him as they were riding side by side. I also saw a guy get run over from the back once when his buddy was looking at someone on shore and didn't see him slow down---the sitdown jumped using the back of the ski and his back as the ramp.

Neither one of those instances was a good time to be at the ramp because people got hurt badly (and one died) due to inattentiveness that could have been avoided easily. I don't care that they were riding sitdowns, they are people that got hurt that I saw personally.

seems like it is always people that are renting those things, no brakes and no steering w/o throttle messes them up. Iv seen a few people accidently whiskey throttle rented couches up onto docks nearly taking people out because they didn't know what to do close to the dock. People that rent stuff on the lake are always on my radar.

This is why boaters safety class should be mandatory for EVERYONE on the water.

Even if you cant swim.

It is always the couches. that look like a hell of a landing. I know that some beaches are like concrete.

The girl on the stationary one was aware at least, you can see where she notices them coming, then looks back and realizes it's time to GTFO.

Aside from the massive amount of stupid, the guy taking the video comes off a little creepy if you read the description.

"This is a wreck that i caught out of the corner of my eye while shooting two girls that were taking photos of each other before going on a jetski ride..."

Had nothing happened, what did he plan on doing with the video?
