This is under the assumption you do have stk 38s on you ski---

135 main jets
70 pilots
stk springs and stk n/s
low screws at 1.25 turns out
high speed screws at 3/4 turns out

the ski is normally always ridden at 500' above sea level in fresh water.

I find that the stock springs (115g) result in popoff that is too high for the piped motor. I just went through this on a similar setup. The boat would stumble and die below 1/4 throttle.
I'd go with 95g springs.

Does anyone know how many turns of the adjustment screw is equal to going up one jet size? ie 130 main to 135. I'm running 70 and 130 and my screws are out 2 1/4 and almost 2 1/2 and i'd like to be able to bring them in. I want to know if I need a 135 or 140 main.

Sorry about the thread jack. It's a similar topic and I run similar mods plus porting and taper bored carbs.

I was going to try 75 pilot and am trying to decide if i need to buy a 135 or 140 main. I'm good at tuning. I do all my own engine work. The only reason i'm asking this question is cause none of the shops around here have jets for mikuni BN's. I need to order them. I may just have to order a few sizes and try them out.
