I have a 97 round nose superjet with factory B pipe. I am replacing the stock 38mm carbs with 44mm sbn mikuni carbs from a yamaha 760. What jet sizes should I be using? What weight pop off spring? The 701 motor is ported, lightened flywheel, msd ignition enhancer, 195 compression with west coast head and 650 domes. I want low end punch for freestyle riding.

Ur probably better off with the 38s the oem 44s are made for fuel economy and cruising. I think there are seversl post on the X about the 44s but unless u buy aftermarket oem carbs arent that great thats why we recommend 38s even on our bb motors unless u go aftermarket.
