Anyone know how to get better fuel mileage
from a 2009 Ford F-350? Well, other than
buying a new truck that is?
After spending about $14,500 on diesel fuel
for traveling on the tour stops last year, we
decided to add a few modifications to our tour
truck to hopefully get better gas mileage and
more power.
We bought a BullyDog control chip, air intake,
5 inch Maga Flow, and tow boss gearing. Any
other ideas?

Propane injection. http://www.dieselperformanceproducts.com/ This company's system can legally turn your truck into a hybrid, which gets you a tax credit for every pound of propane you burn. The owner is a friend of mine ( he rides a SXR!).

Drive slower (55-60 tops) if you want better mileage.

Diesel rocks! I wish Americans would stop looking on it like it was the anti-christ. I want a small diesel truck but they only come in the gigantic trucks.

It's annoying they don't make a mid sized diesel. It seems the more diesels get on the road, the more diesel fuel goes up though. I liked it when diesel was cheaper than reg unleaded. I still think one would be cool though.

Aggreed. American auto makers should get their acts together and make some mid-size and full size 1/2 ton trucks with smaller diesels. Power when you need it, economy when you don't.
